Injury prevention is better than cure!
“Athletes must not cut corners if they want to get the best out of themselves no matter what their discipline or sport. There is so much today to help maximise performance that many simple things are omitted.”
Alison Rose, CSPC director and physiotherapist
At CSPC Physiotherapy Leeds, we are passionate about injury prevention and enabling sports people of all levels to get the best out of themselves. We can come to your club and go through a series of flexibility and strength tests along with movement pattern tests that can be tailored for the needs of your sports. We make the sessions educational so that you come away knowing how to most effectively stretch and strengthen your muscles allowing more efficient movement, and understanding why this is important. We have used this system with many groups of athletes of all ages, which has empowered them identify ways that they can help themselves to maximise their potential.
Injury prevention workshops can be done as a group session with the attendees performing the exercises with correction by the physiotherapist instructing. They can also be led as more of a group screening session, with the attendees working in pairs and going through the exercises together.
Sessions last between one and two hours. It is also possible to run a question and answer session at the end.
